Donnison Street Church Services – What to Expect
How long is a Worship Service?
The worship service starts at 9am and is about 1 hour long.
The Church building can be entered via the main doors at the top of the steps (there is a ramp if you prefer) opposite Kibble Park on Donnison Street.
When you arrive, you will be greeted by a host. Come inside and take a seat; if you’re not sure where to sit, one of our hosts will help you find a place.
Services begin with worship music; sometimes traditional hymns; sometimes less traditional worship songs. The lyrics are projected onto the screens, so you can join in with the singing, or engage with the musical worship, however you feel most comfortable. After the worship music, we have prayers, news updates and celebrations of personal events.
The children have a special section for kid’s worship, which everyone can join in with, before they go to their own program, focused on a biblical story, with lots of craft. This program runs next to the main sanctuary, so the children are still visually included in the service. While this program is running, our Minister, another Minister, or a member of the Church community, will share an encouraging message about Jesus.
A bag will be passed around for the option to make a financial offering to the work of the Church. This is a free will offering and nobody is obliged to give.
The formal part of our service then finishes with worship music and a blessing, which is then followed by a shared morning tea.

If You’re New To Church
You might be wondering what it’s really like at Gosford Wyoming Uniting Church? Simply stated, we are all about Jesus. You won’t be met with shame, guilt or condemnation and we don’t care how you’re dressed or what party you voted for! Our Church is made up of imperfect people, with all kinds of life experiences and stories.
The best part about our church though, is that no matter what you’ve been through, or are going through; what questions you may have about God, Jesus, faith or the Church, this is a place where you will find the love, grace and acceptance that Jesus gives to everyone.
What’s more, is that we’d love to continue to engage with you, after the service. Connection cards can be filled out with your contact details so that we can keep you up to date on what’s going on in the life of the church.
We value your privacy and we will never spam you or pass your details on to third parties.
