WHOLLY QUILTS
Wholly Quilts was formed in 2010 by 6 women who heard of the need to make quilts for the sick children in Sydney’s Children’s Hospital. As time has gone on we have grown to be a mix of Church members and members from the Community and number 15.
We each pay a term fee of $30 so we can purchase fabrics, wadding, backing fabric and pay for professional quilting costs for some of our larger quilts.
We are very grateful for family members of the community who contact us to donate the fabric stash of a loved one who may be downsizing their home, going into care, or sadly passed away.
We make comfort quilts for church members who have experienced a bereavement, provide quilts to our Servicemen and Servicewomen deployed overseas, through Aussie Hero Quilts, donate small quilts to the organisation “Kids in Wheelchairs” and donate quilts to the palliative and paediatric wards at Gosford Hospital.

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month, 1-4pm, come when you can, leave when you must, in the Hall at Gosford Wyoming Uniting Church, 91 Wyoming Road, Wyoming.
February 2025 Update
Our group of 15 members resumed in January, all happy to return after our break.
We continue to make lap quilts for Wheelchairs for Kids, the Palliative Care Ward, the Paediatric Ward and We Care Connect.
We also made various smaller items, table runners, place mats, pasta bowl holders and these were donated to the Women’s Auxiliary stall at Gosford District Hospital to raise funds for much needed equipment.
Our continued thanks go to Robyn B who makes and sells jams and chutneys and donates the funds tu and we purchase children’s themed fabrics. Thanks to Raema too, for her lomg arm quilting skills. A special thank you to a friemd from Cootamundra, Jeanette, who donated a large bag of children themred fabrics and a brand new lightweight Brother sewing machine – we are very blessed!
